Currently we have a vacant position as business controller at emmerys. As a Business Controller at Emmerys, you will be essential in driving commercial and operational success by delivering data-driven insights, conducting financial analyses, and serving as a strategic partner to the business.
Who are we?
Emmerys is a Danish organic bakery and café chain specializing in freshly baked bread, pastries, and high-quality coffee. Today, we operate 36 stores primarily located in and around Copenhagen as well as in Aarhus, supported by a nationwide team of around 600 employees.
Our headquarter is located in Valby with a combined HQ and production facility under the same roof. We are a dynamic organization where diverse professional backgrounds work closely together toward shared goals.

Your Role and Impact
As a Business Controller at Emmerys, you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and providing management with clear, data-driven insights that help drive our growth ambitions. You will be part of the finance team and report directly to the Finance Manager, working closely with C-level stakeholders and contributing to the daily collaboration between finance and the operational teams across both our stores and production facility.
In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks, and you will have the opportunity to influence how the position evolves and where you can create the most value for Emmerys.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a business partner to finance, commercial, and operational teams.
- Preparing analyses and reports based on internal data and external market developments.
- Managing larger cross-functional projects, such as the implementation of Power BI and the development of a new allocation model.
- Evaluating previous investment projects and using insights to strengthen future investment decisions.
- Supporting budgeting processes and financial planning activities including capex material preparation
- Providing ad hoc analyses and decision support to the management team.
- Helping define the role as it is newly established, giving you the opportunity to shape your own responsibilities and impact.
In your daily work, you will use Business Central, Power BI, and JetReports as your core tools, and you will gradually become a superuser in these systems as part of your role.
Your profile
We are looking for a professional and motivated candidate who brings a strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach to solving problems. You thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy working across functions, and are comfortable taking responsibility for your own areas of focus.
We expect that you:
- Hold a relevant academic degree in business, finance, or economics
(e.g., Cand.merc., HD(R), or equivalent). - Bring relevant experience from a similar role within controlling, finance, or business partnering.
- Have strong analytical skills and solid experience with data processing and Excel.
- Work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, while keeping an overview of complex tasks.
- Are proactive, curious, and not afraid to challenge existing processes or suggest improvements.
- Are eager to learn, flexible in your approach, and possess the determination to see projects through from start to finish.
